What Is An Intermediary?

The buying and selling of large quantities of commodities is complex and intricate, with a number of forms, agreements and contracts that need to go back and forth between the Buyer and Seller, as well as confidential bank details and standard searches.  For this reason, many Buyers and Sellers prefer to use the services of a Commodities Intermediary who will facilitate and oversee the entire process from start to finish. Intermediaries usually sit between the Buyers and Sellers and negotiate the business process.  They can be asked to negotiate on behalf or the Buyer (and /or the Buyer’s representative) or by the Seller (or the Seller’s representative.

Ellie and Mario work in a unique capacity as an Intermediary partnership, as one will work with the Buyer/Agent and the other will work with the Supplier/Agent.  Together they form a bridge for the end Buyer and end Supplier, making the entire purchase process easy and simple.

Chains

Ellie and Mario prefer to work with small chains and are unlikely to accept a client who has a long chain.  They have found that, over time, long chains do not work well and the transaction invariably does not go through to completion.
